Supporting the company Cosentino, a leading designer of sustainable architectural and home coverings, in organizing a contest for Interior and Product Designers to create innovative objects for the B2C market that included the use of the company’s materials in four specific categories: Bathroom, Kitchen, Living and Outdoor.
The Contest one is a well-established mechanism of corporate promotion that allows to greatly increase brand reputation and increase the number of target contacts.
The contest devised by the company involved a classic mode of conduct, i.e., the launch of the call, the collection of design ideas, the selection of the winners, and the realization of their prototypes. D.O.S.’s proposal was to add a dose of innovativeness to the process, suggesting to add an intermediate phase in which, for each category, three finalists would be announced, and of these, shown the Augmented Reality projects during Milan Design Week 2022, giving the public the opportunity to enter the process of choosing the winners, voting, sharing on their social profiles, their favorite project.
Rules drafting, organizing secretariat, contest website, realization of the AR experiences with the finalists’ objects, video report of the finalists’ announcement night, design and realization of the prizes, video presentation of the winning projects, realization of the AR prizes.

Living Area
Adjustable indirect/reflective lighting system using DEKTON as a reflector.
The system is designed for residential, high-end hotel and retail contract environments to illuminate suggestively, but also to divide spaces.
LED strip lighting concealed in the uprights.
Touch-sensor switch on the base or automatic on by rotating the panel.
Adjustment of intensity and direction of reflected light depending on opening angle and material color.
The more complex the composition, the more spectacular the play of color and light effects.

Kitchen Area
Convivio is the innovative wine cellar designed to generate exclusive moments
of wine tasting.
The elegant parallelepiped, placed in the context of a kitchen island, is exploitable in the three dimensions:
– In height in the upper part the worktop is also a point of extraction of bottles.
– In depth runs a top that can be used as a base for any aperitifs.
– In width in the lower part is housed a wine cellar removable by push.
Through app on phone it is possible to select the desired wine and extract it from the worktop in an automated and simple way.
The app is able to recommend the wine based on the food to be paired or vice versa.
The use of Dekton as an external material to the structure makes it possible to create a solid piece of furniture with durable surfaces and allows the creation of modular dekton inserts that can be inserted into an aluminum tub according to the user’s needs.

Bagno Area
COVER was born as a freestanding washbasin. The main idea of the designers was to create a recognizable object that maintains its functionality while making it unique and special.
This “special uniqueness” is based on the interchangeability of an element that is also the protagonist of its main function: the washbasin.
Changing the washbasin simply as a “COVER” and playing solely on the colors.
An element that can also be replaced just because you got tired of that color or because it is appropriate to match it with a wall whose characteristics you have decided to change.

Arch – Ancient and contemporary architectural form.
A simple shape but extremely elegant in its simplicity, used by the ancient Romans to mark the rhythm of buildings. It is a “perfect” shape synonymous with positivity, playfulness, creativity.
Arch is a modular lamp that can be integrated into the facade or can be used as a single replicable element with easy application.
